Japanese foreign minister interested in strengthening ties with Cuba
Tokyo, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) The State minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Uto Takeshi, expressed his country's will to strengthen bilateral ties, at a meeting with Cuban Ambassador Miguel Angel Ramirez.
During the meeting, held at the Japanese Foreign Ministry's headquarters, Uto and Ramirez talked about the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. The Cuban diplomat commented on the progress of Cuba's five vaccine candidates developed by scientists from his country.
The Japanese minister conveyed his congratulations to President Miguel Diaz-Canel for his election as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), during the recently concluded 8th Congress of that political organization.
