Palestinian leader completes cycle of meetings in Lebanon
Beirut, Jun 30 (Prensa Latina) The leader of the Palestinian Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, completed a cycle of meetings in Lebanon, the last of which with Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hizbullah, the media highlighted on Wednesday.
Previously, the visitor met with President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and leaders of the Islamic Group headed by the group's Secretary-General, Azzam al-Ayoubi.
During the interview with Nasrallah, they addressed the so-called Battle of the Sword of Jerusalem, in which Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other organizations fought against the Israeli occupier, Al-Manar television station noted.
At the time, the head of the Lebanese legislators congratulated the Palestinians for their firmness and resistance, and the president reiterated his adherence to the Palestinian cause and his rejection to the resettlement of Israeli settlers in occupied land.
Haniyeh continued a tour of Lebanon during which he expects to visit Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Algeria, Kuwait and Iran.
