New positions take office in Spain's Foreign Ministry
Madrid, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) Shortly before leaving for London, Spain's Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares on Wednesday highlighted the importance of meeting with his British counterpart, due to the intensity of the bilateral ties.
Our relationship includes tourists, residents from both countries, bilateral investments and interests and 'I think we could not delay it any longer,' the diplomat pointed out without analyze in depth the issue on Gibraltar.
Albares led this Wednesday the swearing-in ceremony of new positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, with three secretariats of State and seven directorates.
The minister, who has been in office for just a week, is flying to the United Kingdom, where he will meet with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Global Affairs Angeles Moreno, Secretary of State for International Cooperation Pilar Cancela, and Secretary of State for Ibero-America, the Caribbean and Spanish in the World Juan Fernandez Trigo, were appointed at today's ceremony.
Also on the list are Technical Secretary General Rosa Velazquez, General Director of Protocol, Chancellery and Orders Maria Sebastian de Erice Garcia, Director General of the Minister's Cabinet Diego Martinez Belio.
In addition, General Director for North America, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Pacific Javier Salido, General Director for Latin America and the Caribbean Xavier Marti, and Director General for the Maghreb, Africa, Mediterranean and the Middle East Alberto Jose Ucelay.
