Cuba, Venezuela will never surrender to US, Nicolas Maduro says
Caracas Jul 26 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday assured that Cuba and Venezuela will never surrender to the United States.
In his regular presidential speeches on Sundays, Nicolas Maduro reiterated what he said in an interview with TeleSUR on Saturday, when he expressed his thoughts about what happened in Cuba recently and the negative effects of the United States blockade against the Caribbean nation.
The Venezuelan president assured that after the July 11 protests, two interesting processes have come out: the flowering of solidarity with Cuba and a self-reflection process on Cuban society.
'The Cuban people have been subjected to a social, collective and economic torture experiment,' Maduro said, while drawing a similarity between the riots in Cuba with acts of political violence in Venezuela recently.
In his interview with TeleSUR, Maduro underscored the majority global support in favor of Cuba's sovereignty and self-determination. 'Cuba is globally supported, it has aroused solidarity with greater passion,' Maduro said.
'The Cuban people have the strength and morale to recover from any aggression,' said Maduro, who ratified Venezuela's commitment to strengthening two-way relations in terms of health care and food.
