India, Russia to review organization for next bilateral summit

New Delhi, Apr 6 (Prensa Latina) Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov will debate Tuesday on the relations between the two countries and will also review the organization for the forthcoming annual bilateral summit. Lavrov arrived in India Monday night for a two-day visit and is also planning to travel to Pakistan to talk with his counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

The Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arindam Bagchi said Lavrov’s visit will be a unique opportunity to discuss important aspects between the two nations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Jaishankar and Lavrov will be focused on the implementation of the results of the Russian-Indian Summit held in September 2019, in Vladivostok. They will also exchange views on different issues of international and regional interest including interaction in the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS Group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
