El Salvador exceeds 50,000 vaccinations in just one day

San Salvador, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele confirmed that more than 50,000 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in his nation.

‘We have surpassed 50,000 people vaccinated per day!’, Bukele tweeted, while confirming that as many as 47,515 people received the first dose and 3,166 the second one.

Of the total, 8,979 were immunized at the El Salvador Hospital Vaccine MegaCenter, which was opened on Monday after several months under construction.

Nearly 300,000 people have already received one dose thanks to the acquisition Covishield, AstraZeneca / Oxford, Pfizer / BioNTech and CoronaVac vaccine doses.
