Kremlin describes Czech attitude on Russian diplomats as hysterical

Moscow, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday urged the Czech Republic to allow diplomats from both countries to resolve the bilateral conflict, and described the country's position on Russian diplomats as hysterical.

‘We, of course, have an extremely negative attitude to all this hysteria. This is all I can say. Let’s give the diplomats a chance to formulate their positions,’ Peskov said, according to TASS news agency.

The Russian Foreign Ministry informed that it will summon Czech Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Remek on Thursday, after Prague threatened Moscow with new diplomatic expulsions, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

Speaking to the press, Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek pointed out that the country may expel some 60 employees from the Russian Embassy in Prague if Russia does not approve the return to Moscow of its diplomatic employees declared persona non grata before 13:00 hours, local time, on Thursday.

On Saturday, the Czech Government denounced the alleged involvement of Russian intelligence in the explosion of an ammunition depot in Vrbetice, in Zlin district, in 2014, when two people were killed.
