Attacks in Kabul leave six dead

Kabul, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) At least six people, two civilians and four members of the security forces, died in different incidents in Kabul during the last 12 hours.

Police confirmed that in one of the incidents, government employee Baryalai Tokhi was killed in an attack on Friday night by unidentified gunmen in the Rishkhor area of Kabul’s 7th district.

Meanwhile, authorities reported that Professor Rafi Osmani of the Peshgam Institute of Higher Education was killed in a similar attack on his way to the university in Kabul’s 4th district this Saturday morning.

In addition, four members of the security forces also lost their lives in an attack by armed men in the Panja Chinar area, in the Paghman district of the Afghan capital.

Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz said all incidents are under investigation.

The events took place amid a new surge in targeted attacks in Kabul and its surrounding districts.
