CABEI to help Nicaragua purchase 6.86 million Covid-19 vaccines

Managua, Apr 28 (Prensa Latina) The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) on Tuesday reported that it will loan Nicaragua US million to purchase as many as 6.86 million Covid-19 vaccine doses.

With such a figure, around 3.27 million Nicaraguans (69.2% of prioritized population) could be vaccinated, CABEI said through a press release.

The Vaccination Deployment Plan against Covid-19 in Nicaragua will benefit approximately 4.7 million people, CABEI recalled.

In total, CABEI approved a US$800 million loan divided into equal parts among eight nations in the area.
