Costa Rican authorities seize nearly half a ton of cocaine

San Jose, Apr 28 (Prensa Latina) Costa Rican Drug Control Police (PCD) agents detected and seized about 460 kilograms of cocaine on Tuesday in a container bound for the port of Antwerp, in Belgium.

PCD officers found 460 cocaine packages, weighing one kilogram each, when scouting out a container with rubber packaging and metal pieces at the APM Terminal de Moin, in the Caribbean province of Limon.

Statistics show that local authorities seized 16,192 kilograms of cocaine in containers in 2020, while in 2019 there have found 5,927 kilograms only.
