After being identified, Venezuelan government on Wednesday paid posthumous tribute to them, when CEOFANB President Remigio Ceballos confirmed that this military body will not rest until its objectives are utterly reached.

‘We will expel all irregular Colombian drug trafficking terrorist groups. We will fight until we win and do justice, until we achieve peace,’ Ceballos said. CEOFANB reinforced some pressure actions to neutralize the incursion of paramilitaries from Colombia.

Meanwhile, specialized sources warned that the presence of irregular groups in the border area responds to a strategy to measure the operational capacity of the Venezuelan armed forces, with destabilizing purposes.

In statements to the analysis portal Hinterlaces, Deputy Gerardo Márquez claimed that the clashes in the border area of Apure are part of a continuous US coup against the South American nation, in complicity with the Colombian government.
