Al-Jaafari expressed that position during his virtual speech at the Arab-International Forum to Lift the Blockade and Cancel Sanctions against Syria, organized in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, where more than 250 Arab and international figures are participating.

That interference increases the spread of chaos and terrorism, while blackmail of the Syrian Government and people and the repetition of failed formulas only cause devastation, the diplomat said.

The pressures and plots, however intensified and diversified, would only strengthen the Syrian citizens’ determination to face the challenges, the deputy foreign minister added.

According to Al-Jaafari, since the war started, some countries have adopted positions that lead to an escalation and prolongation of the crisis and an increase in the spread of chaos and terrorism.

The United States, the United Kingdom, France and other countries have used all their capabilities to undermine Syria and settle their old scores to achieve their own interventionist agendas at the expense of the people and their future, he denounced at the end of his speech.
