Embassy of Cuba in Ukraine celebrates Workers’ Day

Kiev, May 1 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban embassy here, together with activists from solidarity movements with the island and directors of the Ukraine-Cuba Business Committee, commemorated International Workers' Day today.

For the second year, the epidemiological situation caused by Covid-19 prevented the traditional parades in Cuba and other nations of the world, so the digital space was the alternative to highlight the date, indicated the diplomatic mission of Havana in this country.

The celebration day began this Friday with the holding of the International Forum against the US blockade, convened from the island by the Central of Cuban Workers (CTC) and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

Via the internet, representatives of friendship movements with the Antillean nation from all over Ukraine joined the world demand for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial siege of the United States against Cuba and reiterated their support for the island.
