First batch of Sputnik V vaccines arrived in Sri Lanka

Colombo, May 4 (Prensa Latina) A shipment of 15,000 doses of Russian Sputnik V vaccine arrived in Colombo airport on Tuesday.

State Minister Channa Jayasumana was at the Bandaranaike International Airport to officially receive the shipment, Daily Mirror newspaper reported.

The cargo was transported by vehicles of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation with special refrigeration facilities to a storage complex.

Sri Lanka will buy six million doses of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine, Daily News informed.
