Upon her arrival in Niamey, Niger’s capital city, the president was received by Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou, appointed PM in April with whom she held a brief meeting, according to an official press release.
During her visit, Zewde will discuss issues of bilateral interest with her counterpart Mohamed Bazoum, elected after the second round of the presidential elections held in February.
They will also discuss the negotiations between Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan over the Grand Renaissance Dam and the process of restoring constitutional order in the Ethiopian state of Tigray.
