Missile hits US military base in Iraq

Baghdad, May 5 (Prensa Latina) Iraqi military sources on Wednesday confirmed that a missile had hit the United States base of Ain al-Assad, in the province of Al-Anbar, in western Iraq.

The missile hit the facility on Tuesday night, according to the source, and other media outlets reported that, in fact, there were several impacts by explosive devices.

Iraqi Al-Fallujah TV station reported that two missiles hit the base, and Russia Today reported several strikes.

A Russia Today correspondent quoted an Iraqi military commander who confirmed the shots and impacts of several missiles.

Iraq’s Information and Security Center commented that two Katyusha missiles hit the US base without causing casualties or material damage.

On Monday, Iraqi sources confirmed a missile attack on the US company Sally Porter, located in the vicinity of the Balad military base in the north of Baghdad.
