Presidents of Russia and Tajikistan to hold talks in Moscow

Moscow, May 6 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Rahmon, will hold talks on May 8 in Moscow, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed on Wednesday.

Peskov pointed out that the Tajikistan president will participate in the celebrations on the 76th anniversary of the victory over German fascism, on Sunday, May 9.

The head of the Russian Presidency press office explained that Rahmon’s visit to talk with Putin, on May 8, was agreed before the border clashes between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan last week.

At the same time, he pointed out that there are no plans that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov arrives in Moscow to attend Victory Day parades, TASS news agency reported.
