Even though France´s situation remains fierce and government harps on the need not to slacken in its efforts to fight Covid-19, Health Ministry reported 21,712 new cases, one of lowest confirmed toll since March.

France reaches 5,728,090 coronavirus cases, a figure only surpassed by the United States, India and Brazil.

According to health ministry´s report, 26,985 people are currently hospitalized, 5,231 in ICUs.
