DNCD seizes 456 drug packages in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, May 13 (Prensa Latina) The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) seized 456 cocaine packages at a farm in Las Galeras municipality, in Samaná province, located in the northeast of the country.

According to the DNCD, in the operation conducted at the Rincón beach road, a person to whom authorities assumed was guarding the shipment got busted.

The cocaine was stashed away in 16 sacks inside a cave, so authorities believed that an international drug trafficking network was planning to send these sacks to Puerto Rico.
