New Delhi, May 18 (Prensa Latina) A second shipment of medical aid from Bangladesh to India arrived in Calcutta on Tuesday, as part of bilateral cooperation to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The cargo, delivered to the Indian Red Cross Society, contains 2,672 boxes of medicines and protective items, All India Radio reported.

The shipment includes 18 types of medicines to treat Covid-19, such as antibiotics, paracetamol, various kinds of injections and hand sanitizers, according to a statement from Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On May 6, Bangladesh sent 10,000 vials of the antiviral Remdesivir amid the unprecedented peak of Covid-19 cases in India.
