Bolivia to receive a million doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine

La Paz, May 26 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's President Luis Arce confirmed that in June the country will receive a million doses of the China's vaccine Sinopharm.

On his Twitter account, the president stressed the importance of this batch to continue with the anti-Covid-19 mass inoculation plan, as emphasizing the friendly ties between his nation and China.

Bolivia has included Sputnik V, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca-Oxford and Pfizer antidotes in its national immunization campaign, acquired by the Arce administration, in addition to others donated by the Chinese government and those obtained through the Covax mechanism, led by the World Health Organization.

This country has a portfolio of anti-Covid-19 vaccines to reach 25 percent of the population, according to official information, and is taking steps to access new batches in order to guarantee effective immunity for 70 percent of its inhabitants, that is 7,180,428 Bolivians.
