Iran acknowledges progress in nuclear negotiations

Tehran, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Iran on Monday recognized progress in the negotiations in Vienna, Austria, dedicated to saving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal with debates so that the United States returns to the pact.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh confirmed those achievements, although key issues remain to be resolved.

In that case, Khatibzadeh recalled that Washington must lift all anti-Iranian sanctions, Tehran must verify them and then the Islamic Republic will reverse the measures adopted to respond to the US policy of maximum pressure.

By order of then President Donald Trump, the White House withdrew from the JCPOA in May 2018, which was sealed in 2015, and reimposed an economic and financial siege against Iran.

After a year, Iranian authorities began to cut their nuclear obligations without violating the deal, by using sections that gave them that opportunity.
