On the fourth day of his working visit on French soil, the senior official spoke with the general director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Remy Rioux, a meeting in which they signed two financing agreements in strategic sectors for the island, such as health and hydraulic infrastructure.

Cabrisas highlighted the importance of projects that are developed with funds approved by the entity, also in agriculture, transportation and other vital areas, while Rioux expressed interest in strengthening activities of the AFD in the Caribbean country, present in Havana since October 2016.

For his part, the meeting with the Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire allowed a review of the progress in bilateral relations, particularly trade and cooperation.

France is one of the top 10 commercial partners of Cuba, links with growth potential, despite the extraterritorial impact of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.

In its extensive program of activities this Friday, Cabrisas also spoke with representatives of French companies that do business on the island, such as the president and CEO of the Pernod Ricard Group, Alexandre Ricard, and the CEO of the INVIVO agricultural group, Thierry Blandinières .
