The evolution of the virus in the United Kingdom shows that the first dose is not enough to deal with this new strain, more aggressive than those known up until now, warned the Health Minister Jens Spahn.

On his side, the president of the Robert Koch Institute of Virology, Lothar Wieler, stressed that the Delta strain attacks especially population groups that have not been vaccinated or are yet to undergo the complete immunization cycle, among which are young people.

Germany is going through a de-escalation of restrictions and public life tends towards progressive normalization, but the flow of people to countries such as the United Kingdom, where the Soccer Eurocup takes place, raises concern.
