These achievements, Rodriguez stated, were recognized by the Science Report published by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2021.

The publication highlighted Cuba’s indicators, especially in fighting Covid-19, the foreign minister posted on Twitter.

Entitled ‘The race against time for smarter development,’ UNESCO’s latest Science Report, shows the evolution of the support system for science, technology and innovation worldwide over time.

This 7th edition also examines how countries use scientific development to build an ecologically and digitally smart future, according to the agency’s website.
