Ecuador receives 206,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses

Quito, Jun 21 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador on Sunday received as many as 206,000 AstraZeneca vaccines doses, the ones are added to the 9/100 Vaccination Plan in order to vaccinate nine million inhabitants in just 100 days.

The new batch came at a time as part of Ecuadorean people have complained about Covid-19 vaccine shortages.

According to Ecuador´s Health Ministry, the new batch was taken to the ‘Vaccine Bank for Expanded Immunization Program,’ to be distributed to vaccine centers nationwide.

Ecuador has so far received 5,017,469 vaccine doses: 2,220,000 Sinovac vaccines 1,427,469 Pfizer vaccines.
