The new batch came at a time as part of Ecuadorean people have complained about Covid-19 vaccine shortages.

According to Ecuador´s Health Ministry, the new batch was taken to the ‘Vaccine Bank for Expanded Immunization Program,’ to be distributed to vaccine centers nationwide.

Ecuador has so far received 5,017,469 vaccine doses: 2,220,000 Sinovac vaccines 1,427,469 Pfizer vaccines.
