Delegates to the event expressed in their speeches the repudiation of the coercive and unilateral actions imposed by Washington on Venezuela, Cuba, Iran and other countries, and reaffirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian Cause, the Colombian people and social vindications.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Italian journalist Geraldina Colotti pointed out that this meeting is a moment for the reaffirmation of the progressive forces unity, for the support of those nations.

‘The fact that in the middle of the current world situation, representatives from 100 countries are meeting here is already a triumph, a victory, because we will also celebrate along with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro the bicentennial of Carabobo’s Battle,’ she pointed out.

Mahir Qurbanov, director of Azerbaijan’s Caucasian Thinking Center, assured to this news agency that his country will always be aligned with Venezuela, they will keep their support for and recognition of the Bolivarian Government without giving in to others’ pressure.

Venezuela’s Indigenous Parliament President, Jimmy Rodríguez, told Prensa Latina that the convention is a platform of struggle where the indigenous representatives from more than 10 nations have condemned the coercive measures by the White House and the repression against social and political movements.
