A declaration from the Cuban Residents-in Peru Association, ‘Mambises Roots΅, condemns the economic, commercial and financial US blockade aginst their country.

Yesterday’s vote was, the text indicates, a smashing victory of our country that undergoes a blockade worsened and hardened by Donald Trump’s administration and currently in effect under Biden’s government’.

It points out that such US genocide policy tries to strangle Cuba even more by strengthening blockade measures.

It adds that the blockade ‘has only served to increase the shortages and sufferings of the Cuban people having an impact on the Cuban families’ living standard.

‘As members of the Cuban Residents-in-Peru Association, we applaud the victory and will not stop raising our voices to ask for the uplifting of the blockade to our country’, it adds.

It warns that the Cuban people ‘exists to prevail and today more than ever is an example and resistance and dignity’.
