Infantry units supported by popular militias and allied troops continue carrying out a thorough search in several sectors of the desert region of Al-Badiya, in Homs and Deir Ezzor provinces, to clean up those extensive areas of the remnants of this organization, included in the international terrorism list, Al-Watan newspaper informed.

Russian and Syrian helicopters, reconnaissance planes and fighter-bombers offer support and cover to the military forces, and managed to destroy caves and headquarters established by radical groups in the mountain ranges located in Athreya, in western Raqa province, and in Palmyra, the publication added.

Syria and Russia have repeatedly denounced that US forces illegally in Syrian territory train and transfer extremists to use them in attacks against the Army positions and civilian communities in the desert region.
