June has been the most complex month since the outbreak of the pandemic, and the Molecular Biology Laboratory in the province has diagnosed more than 30 percent of the processed samples this month, health authorities reported.

Given the high rate of cases, which have even exceeded 400 people in a day, the province’s health authorities have tightened measures and restrictions to reduce mobility and decided to close the territory temporarily.

In its first stage, the health intervention with the Covid-19 vaccine candidate Abdala in this province, 540 kilometers east of Havana, is aimed at vaccinating more than 70,000 people from vulnerable groups, those with more than 60 years of age.
