Another million Covid-19 vaccines from China reach Sri Lanka

Colombo, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Another shipment of one million doses of China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines arrived on Friday at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka.

Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation State Minister Channa Jayasumana said that with this shipment, the country has so far received more than four million doses of the vaccine manufactured in China, News Wire informed.

The medical cargo arrived in this country on a special Sri Lankan Airlines flight from Beijing, the news portal added.

To date, 1,749,500 Sri Lankans have received the first dose of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine and 684,352 have received the second dose of the medication.
