Cuba, Vietnam agree to promote bilateral cooperation

Havana, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday called for boosting two-way cooperation in all spheres, during a phone conversation.

On Twitter, Marrero classed his talk with Mr. Minh Chinh as fruitful and praised the bilateral agreement upon collaboration in different areas including to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘We agree that once again, united we will win,’ Marrero tweeted.

Cuba and Vietnam keep excellent ties at highest level, both in the political and governmental levels, which were reaffirmed in 2020 during the anniversary of 60 years of diplomatic relations.

Vietnam is currently Cuba´s first investor and has a key role in food security, in addition to being the second Cuban commercial partner in Asia and Oceania.
