Mexican gov’t concerned about rising Covid-19 cases

Mexico City, Jul 5 (Prensa Latina) Mexico's Government is concerned about the constant rise in Covid-19 contagions rate, which woke up on Monday in a 22 percent compared to 19 in the previous report.

The Secretariat of Health informed in its morning report that this Monday’s figures are quite high, which continue the upward trend in the coronavirus transmission for almost two weeks. In fact, a new rise in the disease is already being discussed.

The Secretariat warned that people with recent symptoms are also on the rise as 42,944 cases have been recorded after 2,611 new contagions were confirmed in the last 24 hours, so 2,540,068 individuals have suffered from the disease and 233,622 have died due to complication related to the virus.

For its part, the vaccination plan is going according to the plan and more than 32.5 million Mexicans have already been vaccinated, but there are still about 80 million to be immunized.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat of Foreign Relations recommended that Mexicans traveling abroad take precautions against the rise in contagions because of new variants of the virus.
