According to the news, the division of the territory is fundamental for the exercise of the actions undertaken by the government and the country-wide harmonic socio-economical development.

Some aspects of the way the country is currently divided are inadequate for an efficient management of the territory and the satisfaction of collective needs, said the Head of State and Government, João Lourenço.

In the official’s words, an adjustment as the one planned is needed for a more just and balanced management of the national territory.

For this reason, it was decided to create a multi-sector commission with the aim of conducting the study, which will be focused on the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Northern Lunda, Malanje, Moxico and Uíge.

The Minister of State and Head of the Civic House of the President will becharged with coordinating the team that will unite representavies of several entities, among them the Ministries of Administration of Territories, of the Interior, Finances and Economy and Planning.
