Cuban resident in Panama criticizes United States’ blockade

Panama, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) The United States' blockade against Cuba prevents the health system from accessing the necessary supplies to protect and safeguard the people, Jorge Guerra, a Cuban resident in Panama, said.

For this reason, those who are living in Latin America stage several caravans and campaigns to denounce this asphyxiation strategy and facilitate the purchase of more than five million syringes, from which a significant number has already arrived in Cuba, while another is on the way.

In fact, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in 2020, we supported the Cubans who were stranded in this country and since then, we have carried out several initiatives to support our land of origin, he said.

In April, the Association of Cuban Residents in Panama and friends of the Solidarity Movement sent an air cargo to the Caribbean island with 120,000 kits of syringes and needles to support Covid-19 vaccination. Referring to the discrediting media campaign and the destabilizing actions occurred on Sunday, Guerra asserted that most of the Cuban residents in Panama support the revolutionary process, our people and the Homeland.
