‘We are aware of the complex conditions of our brave people, exacerbated by the terrible Covid-19 pandemic that is hitting the world and the increase in the measures of the brutal blockade,’ the text states.

The Cubans have been living under the effects of the US economic, financial and commercial siege for more than 62 years, recalls the statement, when assessing the magnitude and sustained nature of the aggression.

Compatriots, relatives, friends and members of ACCRA, the note indicates, also strongly condemn and reject the destabilizing actions that took place on July 11 on the island.

These events, the document warns, harm social and health security amid the complex situation caused by Covid-19 and the economic crisis.

The Association also highlighted its total rejection to any attempt of foreign intervention and demanded absolute respect for the Caribbean nation’s sovereignty and self-determination.
