Brazilian party began campaign to end blockade on Cuba

Brasilia, July 21 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian Causa Operaria political party (PCO) began this week a campaign for the end of blockade against Cuba.

It will be raised in the national protest on Saturday, sources from the organization confirmed today.

‘We designed banners for all the mass demonstrations and denounce the close siege against the island, as well as express our support for Cuba’, journalist Eduardo Vasco, international analyst and director of newspaper Causa Operaria, told Prensa Latina.

He revealed that ‘our militants also record dozens of videos and broadcast on different platforms on Internet to show support for the Cuban Revolution and denounce Washington’s attacks’. According to Vasco, ‘the blockade is the coward weapon that imperialism found to try to subdue the Cuban Revolution’.

As it does not have the support of Cubans, he said, ‘imperialism applies the criminal siege in an attempt to isolate Cuba and make its people suffer’.

For the political analyst, ‘revolutionaries of all Latin America and the world have an enormous debt to Cuba, whose working class showed that it is possible to make a revolution and expropriate the bourgeoisie’.

He insisted that, although we live next to the empire and on a continent under its domination, it is necessary to go out in unconditional defense of the Cuban people and Revolution at this time, under funded destabilizing actions.

‘We must return the internationalist solidarity that we have always received from Cuba and consolidate a broad national and international campaign for the immediate end of the blockade and the unity of the peoples of Latin America against imperialism’, PCO militant emphasized.
