DNCD seizes 90 drug packages in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) seized 90 packages, presumably of cocaine, in an operation carried out in the Azua province.

According to the DNCD, the anti-narcotics agents, supported by military personnel, detained the tow truck driver and his assistant who were towing an ambulance. In the midst of the operation, when the vehicle was inspected, the 90 drug packages were found in the back.

Detainees were brought before the Attorney General´s Office and packages were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences for corresponding purposes.
