Ghanemi highlighted Egypt’s role in combating terrorism saying that his visit to Cairo is aimed at exchanging experiences.
Tawfiq, for his part, underlined the importance of his Iraqi counterpart’s visit to exchange views on issues related to combating extremism.
The Iraqi minister traveled to Cairo as part of a large delegation that also includes Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun.
Saadoun was received over the weekend by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who called to strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
