Fewer Covid-19 cases and more deaths in Sub-Saharan Africa

Nairobi, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) Sub-Saharan Africa on Wednesday reported a slight decrease in Covid-19 cases, the second day of a flat sequence in this rate, according to the daily report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

However, deaths increased, according to the CDC report.

The number of people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the death toll during the last 24 hours reached 7,087,105 and 178,873, respectively.

On Tuesday, in the states south of the Sahara, 32,596 people were infected with this lethal virus, about 4,000 fewer than on Monday, but the death toll was 813, nearly 100 more than in the previous CDC report.
