Venezuelan President praises Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s legacy

Caracas, (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Friday praised the legacy of Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro (1926-2016) on his 95th birthday.

In a message on Twitter, the Venezuelan president highlighted Fidel’s role as a ‘father, teacher and guide’ for the revolutionaries who fight for a better world.

‘Today is his 95th birthday, and free peoples celebrate him through the path of shared solidarity and dignity. Long live Fidel!,’ the president tweeted.

For its part, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) reiterated the willingness to take the path of Latin American and Caribbean unity promoted by the Commander in Chief.

‘On the 95th birthday of Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the Alliance ratifies its commitment with the legacy of unity, full of deep humanism and sense of justice; in favor of the integration of the peoples of our America and the world,’ according to this regional bloc.

‘Fidel is one of the figures of this era. His name is repeated with admiration on all continents and in all languages. Loved by his people and respected by his enemies, he is a flag and a symbol of humankind,’ the Venezuela-Cuba Friendship Movement tweeted.

This group praised the Cuban leader’s humane nature, which led him to politics, where he he could practice his humanitarian vocation at the service of the peoples of the world.
