In statements to Russia-1 state-owned television channel, Kabulov, who is also the director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Second Asia Department, urged the forces involved in the conflict to ‘begin serious negotiations on the future transitional state.’

For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova drew attention on her Telegram channel about the United States’s role in the events that are currently taking place in Afghanistan.

‘It is strange, but true: there is a confrontation between two forces in Afghanistan, and both are the result of the United States’s thought process. The world watches with horror the result of another historic experiment by Washington,’ Zakharova wrote.

The insurgents announced security guarantees for the Russian Embassy in Kabul, Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, an official representative for the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, informed on Sunday.
