Angola receives some 33 million dollars for sale of assets

Luanda, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) Angola has received more than 33 million dollars for the sales of public assets or with state participation, which is less than expected, according to official data, released by the press on Wednesday.

According to Jornal de Angola, Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury Ottoniel dos Santos confirmed that the actual inflow of cash amounted to 21 billion kwanzas, equivalent to almost more than 33 million dollars.

As part of the current program, the Government agreed on a staggered payment schedule with the buyers, but there are delays complying with the outlays, the official confirmed.

The total or partial sale of 35 public goods was estimated at 371.9 billion kwanzas (about 395 million dollars), explained the specialist, who highlighted the primacy of the industrial branch.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the executive planned for 2021 the sale of assets of at least 113 entities: a total of 40 during the first quarter, 60 in the second quarter and 13 in the third quarter.
