With these statistics, Cuba has accumulated 564,011 Covid-19 contagions and 4,397 deaths since the pandemic broke out in the country on March 11, 2020, Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology at MINSAP, stated in his regular press briefing on television.
To date, 104,105 active patients are in hospitals or their homes nationwide, including 53,059 suspected cases, 4,597 under epidemiological surveillance and 46,449 active patients with the virus.
On Thursday, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 49,635 PCR tests in real time to detect the presence of the coronavirus, totaling 7,388,327 samples so far.
