The rescue teams saved only two of the miners who were working in the site at the moment of the accident, considered the worst mining tragedy in the region, Caracol Noticias online media outlet added.

Authorities from the National Mining Agency believed that the collapse was caused by employers’ violations, who disregarded safety measures for mining work ordered by that institution.
