Kim Jong Un congratulates Vietnam on anniversary of its foundation

Pyongyang, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un today congratulated his counterparts in Vietnam on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of its foundation.

The General Secretary of Korea’s Workers’ Party sent a congratulation message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Kim noted that for 76 years since its foundation, Vietnam has achieved national liberation and reunification of the country and is vigorously fighting to build socialism, notes the ACNC news agency.

I am pleased that under the leadership of the Communist Party, the Vietnamese people are making progress in the struggle to implement the resolution of the 13th Party Congress and build a prosperous and civilized socialist state, he said.

He also expressed confidence that the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries, currently in a favorable state, will be enhanced and continuously developed in accordance with the consensus reached at the historic summit in March 2019.

He also wished Vietnamese leaders good health and urged them to have greater successes in their guiding responsibilities over the Party and State.

Vietnam was born as an independent country on this day in 1945 after its liberation from French colonization in a revolution led by the father of the nation, Ho Chí Minh.
