We deny the existence of any kind of contact or negotiation with the Turkish government, which is one of the main governments sponsoring terrorism that Syria has faced since 2011, Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The text accuses Ankara of becoming a ‘reservoir of extremism’ that poses a threat to peace and stability in the region and the world.

The Syrian government has repeatedly denounced Turkey’s interference in its domestic affairs and accused it of occupying parts of its territory, as well as offering logistic support and refuge to radical groups operating against Syria.
