At the summit, which is being held via video conference, the president highlighted the importance of joint actions between Brazil and India, claiming that the ties are excellent.
He further said that several agreements signed are paying off, and their cooperation has made progress, especiallly in the fields of science and technology, energy and health, particularly in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
He added that bilateral trade has grown, which is another sign of recovery of their economies and the potential of their relations.
Regarding China, the Brazilian president also spoke about the fight against Covid-19 and admitted that most vaccines administered in Brazil are made with supplies produced in that Asian country.
Regarding South Africa, Bolsonaro commented that, for over a decade, both countries have contributed to develop their own coordination dynamics to strengthen the BRICS.
Finally, when addressing Russian President Vladímir Putin, the Brazilian head of State said that relations between Brasilia and Moscow are a ‘strategic association.’
