Cuba presents its tourism products in St. Petersburg, Russia

Moscow, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) The First Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cuba, María del Carmen Orellana, presented Cuba's touristic products in Saint Petersburg, Russia, for the next high season starting in November.

Representatives of more than 80 retail agencies selling Cuban touristic destinations participated in the meeting, and exchanged with executives of the Gran Caribe, Cubanacán and Islazul hotel groups and the Cubanacán and Cubatur travel agencies, who also traveled there.

During the presentation, Orellana highlighted the progress of the Covid-19 vaccination process in the country, its demonstrated effectiveness and the prospect that the immunization schedules for more than 90 percent of the entire population will be complete by that month.

The Minister reported that epidemiological measures to avoid contagion with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus will focus on the surveillance of symptomatic patients, taking temperature and performing randomized diagnostic tests.

She also stated that PCR tests will not be required upon arrival and the travelers’ vaccination certificate will be recognized.

The Tourism advisor of the embassy of Cuba in Russia, Juan Carlos Escalona, informed Prensa Latina that Russian businessmen ratified their clients’ interest in the options offered by Cuba for vacationers.

He also noted that they welcomed the information about the next opening of Cuba’s borders gradually starting on November 15th.
