The diplomat congratulated Trang on her recent appointment to the post, and VNA workers in general on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the foundation of the news media, a multimedia leader in Vietnam and considered of high strategic value by the Communist Party and the State.
He also celebrated the balance of the joint work between the Latin American news agency Prensa Latina and the Vietnamese one, through an agreement already going on for years and through which the respective correspondents’ offices provide support to broadcast the realities of both countries.
Trang expressed her hopes about further increasing this collaboration and emphasized that the imminent visit of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the island will be a favorable moment to continue advancing on that path.
In addition, she thanked Hernández for being the first ambassador to visit the VNA after her appointment as general director and on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the agency.
The meeting was attended by executive members of the Vietnamese agency, officials from the Cuban embassy and the three workers from Prensa Latina who currently provide information and editorial services in the Indochinese nation.
